| Oceanic Airlines flight 815, a commercial airliner flying from Sydney to Los Angeles breaks apart in mid-air and is
strewn across a seemingly deserted tropical island in the South Pacific. 48 people survive the initial crash. On the first night,
mysterious roars are heard from the jungle and trees are knocked over. In the morning, Jack, Kate, and Charlie set out into the
lush jungle to try and find the cockpit so that they can get the transceiver and set out a distress signal. |
